Following the success of CAMAT®, we developed a range of add-ons to allow the list of the camera’s features to be extended and has led to this higher-performing smart camera: The Caminax is offered in three performance specifications with either 1200, 3200 or 8000 MIPS, including a colour camera. Resolutions of 640 x 480 and 1024 x 768 pixels are supported. The complex evaluation of full size images now runs at ca. 10 measurements per second.

Programmes, parameters and tolerances can be adjusted online without needing to stop the Smart Camera. There is enough space on the intelligent camera to accommodate up to 100 programmes.
When operating the Caminax, there are coloured overlays for the different modules; the current module in operation is highlighted especially for emphasis. The user can define and administer up to 150 analysis regions (ROI) for each module. Examination results are tri-coloured displayed. In order to aid connectivity, the Caminax comes with an integrated Ethernet or serial port. The inspection programme can be setup for either serial or digital mode. Furthermore, power is now supplied through a standard 24V DC connector. Through the 3 freely-configurable digital outputs, up to 8 result types are possible. A digital output is fixed allocate for the ready/ busy signals.
