Inspection of inside threads, contact-free and in real time. The visual control system takes into consideration the whole of the inside thread. By default, control takes place at four analysis windows, orientated at 90 degree angles to one another, over the total thread length. The system inspects the integrity and regularity of the thread length. Accordingly, the position and number of analysis windows can be adjusted to suit the tolerances for each required thread type.

The system recognises:

• Missing threading
• Incomplete threading
• Irregular threading (i.e. incorrect thread distances)
• The complete thread length along the screw axis is monitored and checked in regular intervals.
• Floors of blind hole drillings are checked, e.g. for tears, splinters and color defects.
