On May 1, 1986, current president, Harumi KUROE, established CHRONIX Inc.
in Shinjuku, Tokyo, setting forth objectives of expanding imports mainly
of products by French semiconductor manufacturers. At first, CHRONIX started
as a distributor of CCD by Thomson's Electron Tube Division, Micro-controllers,
SRAMs by Matra MHS, and RF transistors by Thomson Semiconductor (currently
ST Microelectronics).

Since then, sales and products have increased year by year. And in between
present time, Chronix established an RF Technical Lab. The RF Technical
Lab. was founded six years ago as an independent company called CHRONIX
GIKEN which has its independent accounting. In 1993, CHRONIX became a domestic distributor for Ericsson Components
and started sales of their RF transistors in Japan. Since then, CHRONIX
also has been selling SLIC. In addition, I.P.O. in the U.S.A. has been
making good coordination as a search service for components in short supply.
Furthermore, in the RF/Microwave field, CHRONIX has held advanced technical
seminars for our customers in Tokyo and Osaka since 1997 once in several
years, establishing relationships of mutual trust with them. In September
1999, CHRONIX started the operation of its in-house developed software
program called “AIOS”. It provides all the CHRONIX staff members with up-to-minute
information on our customers’ requests, resulting in quicker reactions.
In 2002, CHRONIX completed the development of a digital X-ray imaging system,
and started sales of X-ray nondestructive testing systems and dentistry
Intra-oral systems and Panorama sensor modules.
