Vision Components® launches new license system for optimized range of software products

Since April 1, 2006, the Smart Camera expert Vision Components® has extended its wide range of software products which is constantly being updated and opti-mized. Regular, free-of-charge updates will be available to customers and users for twelve months, afterwards, a small license fee is charged. Information about prices is available directly from Vision Components® (www.vision-components.com, phone: +49 (0)7243 / 2167-0) or from local distributors. The company has also recently released the Extension Lib program package, a new, powerful program library featuring numerous functions like affine transfor-mation, best fit line/circle, additional RLC functions etc. Other software products from Vision Components® include the extension libraries VC Lib and Color Lib as well as program packages for DataMatrix, OCR and barcode recognition which extend the application range of Smart Cameras.

Looking back: INDUSTRIE PARIS

After opening a company-owned subsidiary in France in February 2006, Vision Components® presented new products at the INDUSTRIE PARIS trade fair (March 27-31) for the first time. The trade show turned out to be an outright success. "There was a great interest in our products on the French market", says Michael Engel, managing director of Vision Components®. "Especially our new VC40xx camera series attracted a lot of attention. In particular, we many visitors inquired about the high-speed line scan camera VC4002L. On the other hand, our software products, like the DataMatrix program library, were also very much sought after."

Announcement: In March 2006, the Vision Components® GmbH raised its capital stock to 250,000 €.

On June 13 and 14, Vision Components® will celebrate its tenth anniversary. On the occasion of the anniversary, a series of lectures about image processing will take place on June 13. At the same time, Vision Components® will present the latest developments in image processing at an in-house exhibition. The celebration will conclude with an evening program and buffet. Vision Components® hat zum ersten April 2006 sein umfangreiches Softwarean-gebot erweitert, das stetig ausgebaut und optimiert wird. Kunden und Anwender können die regelmäßigen Updates zunächst zwölf Monate lang kostenlos und anschließend gegen einen geringen Lizenzbeitrag nutzen. Preisinformationen sind direkt bei Vision Components® (www.vision-components.com, Tel.: 07243 / 2167-0) bzw. bei lokalen Distributoren verfügbar. Mit dem Extension-LIB-Paket bringt das Unternehmen jetzt zudem eine neue, leistungsfähige Erweiterungs-bibliothek mit zahlreichen Funktionen (affine Transformation, best fit line/circle, zusätzliche RLC-Funktionen etc.) heraus. Zu den übrigen Softwareprodukten von Vision Components® gehören die Erweiterungsbibliotheken VC LIB und Co-lor LIB sowie Programmpakete zur DataMatrix-, OCR- und Barcodeerkennung, die das Einsatzspektrum der intelligenten Kameras erweitern.

Messerückblick: INDUSTRIE PARIS

Nach der Eröffnung der französischen Vision-Components-Niederlassung im Februar 2006 war das Unternehmen vom 27.-31. März 2006 erstmals auf der Messe INDUSTRIE PARIS präsent. Der Messeauftritt war ein voller Erfolg: „Wir konnten ein reges Interesse an unseren Produkten auf dem französischen Markt registrieren“, so Michael Engel, Geschäftsführer von Vision Components®. „Speziell unsere neue Smart-Kamera-Serie VC40xx zog viel Aufmerksamkeit auf sich – besonders viele Nachfragen wurden zur intelligenten Hochgeschwin-digkeitszeilenkamera VC4002L gestellt. Aber auch unsere Softwareprodukte, wie z. B. die DataMatrix-Programmbibliothek, waren sehr gefragt.“
