Zusammen mit einem DataMatrix-Codeleser identifizieren intelligente Kameras von Vision Components® zweidimensionale Codes, wie sie beispielsweise auf Medikamentenverpackungen aufgedruckt sind. Dafür steht ab sofort mit DataMatrix 4.2 eine neue Programmversion zur Verfügung, die je nach Kameratyp bis zu 100  Lesevorgänge je Sekunde ermöglicht. Erreicht wurde dies durch die Integration der schnellen Bibliothekssoftware FASTlib. Eine Erweiterung ist auch das neue Tool IMG 3.C, das bei Kameras ohne Videoausgang (z. B. der VCSBC4018) für die Live-Übertragung von Bildern auf einen angeschlossenen PC sorgt. Eine Demo-Datei können registrierte Nutzer unter www.vision-components.com herunterladen.

Another add-on is the new IMG 3.C tool for cameras without a video output (e.g. the VCSBC4018), which en-ables the live transfer of images to a connected PC. Registered users can download a demo version at www.vision-components.com. Additionally, the new operating system VCRT 5.23 is available for all camera types with DSPs from Texas Instruments. The feature list includes many im-provements, such as support for high-capacity storage media: with the new OS version, Media Cards up to 1 GB can be used to store data (pictures, readings etc.).
