The VGA-USB converter is a cigarette-box sized unit which is plugged in between the VGA output of the Smart Camera and the USB connection of a PC or laptop. The transmitted VGA signal is digitalised and outputted as a USB-data stream. The PC software is able to display the received monitor contents with excellent image clarity. With the use of the VGA-USB converter, stationary images or videos from any VGA source (e.g. VC Smart Camera) can be recorded and saved (useful for documentation purposes).

The single requirement for the VGA source is a necessary resolution between 640 x 480 und 1600 x 1200 pixels, with a refreshment rate in the region of 60 to 85 Hz. It is possible with the VGA2USB converter to display, save or print the monitor output of the VC Smart Camera. In addition, for the carrying out of on-site implementation and servicing, no additional monitor is required.
