VC OCR/OCV Lib
In many domains of monitoring, inspection and control, reading a sequence of characters for verification or recognition is an essential part of a final examination.
Most often this task can be reduced to the recognition of a small subset of a font especially constructed for the discrimination task.
The VC OCR Lib contains all functions for the teaching and verification of printed or otherwise uniformly produced characters.
Features and advantages of VC OCR Lib:
- Arbitrary font can be recognized (almost without exceptions).
- OCR is recognized scale and rotation invariant.
- Detection and recognition of not connected characters, like e.g. umlaut, tilde, or other special signs.
- Calculation of best, second and third best match (output of quality value).
- Fast recognition: less than 20 msec on a VC4038 at character size 20x32.
- Easy adding of further characters with the re-teach tool.
- All operations are performed on the Smart Camera.
