The VisiCube is an extremely fast intelligent compact vision sensor and one of the fastest intelligent cameras all over with a computational power of 3200 MIPS rivalling a 2.6 GHz Pentium. It has 32 MB DRAM, 4 MB Flash EPROM for program and data storage. It can acquire full frame 640 x 480 pixel at 32 frames per second!
The scan lighting consists of eight integrated LEDs (6x white light, 2x red lights). The integrated lens which is directly adjustable at the sensor is available with a focal length from 6mm or 12mm. A robust aluminum and plastic housing provides IP65/67 protection, making VisiCube units suitable for rugged environments.
The own internal operating system ’’VCRT’’ of the VisiCube is multitasking. This means that multiple processes can be executed in parallel. The VisiCube has a video output onto a PC via 100MBit Ethernet interface.
The VisiCube offers thus an extremely inexpensive entrance into the world of the high performance intelligent cameras.
All Vision Components cameras are built for industrial applications. They are insensitive to shock and vibration, and have multiple I/O lines for direct control of external equipment. For more complex control tasks, they can easily be interfaced to a PLC.
