VC4472 from Vision Components®
Vision Components®, the specialist for intelligent cameras, presents the new VC4472 Smart Camera which is suitable even for highly demanding applications. Its most striking feature is a 1 1/8" CCD sensor with a 1,600 x 1,200 pixel resolution and a maximum frame rate of 10 fps (20 fps in binning mode).

Incorporating the latest Texas Instruments DSP gen-eration (1 GHz, 8,000 MIPS), the VC4472 is among the fastest intelligent cam-eras on the market. It features an 8 bit color overlay which can operate in an opaque or transparent mode. The standard equipment also includes an RS232 and an Ethernet interface, an external trigger input that enables jitter-free image recording even at high reading frequencies and a high-speed encoder interface. Additionally, the rugged Smart Cameras have an SXGA video output, four digital PLC inputs and four digital outputs. They come with 4 MB Flash EPROM and 64 MB SDRAM for program and picture storage, which can be optionally extended by a 512 MB SD card.
