Jan-Erik Schmitt, formerly Vision Components' sales director, has been appointed vice president of sales on 1 February 2008. He is responsible for all of the company's sales activities, including strategic targets in Germany and abroad, coordinating and expanding the international sales network and key account management.

The enterprise, which was founded in 1996 and has since grown into an internationally leading provider of intelligent image process-ing solutions, thereby increases the workforce at the top – the company's foun-der and CEO Michael Engel will remain responsible for technical development. Additionally, the company has increased its sales staff as of April 1, 2008.
