Like in previous years, Vision Components® will be one of the Silver Sponsors of this year's VISION in Stuttgart -- one of the most important machine vision trade fairs worldwide. The Ettlingen-based company will host seminars on intelligent camera applications. Vision Components®' booth (hall 4.1, stand 110) will provide prospective customers with information about the latest Smart Camera developments.

Key exhibits include the new VC44xx camera models featuring integrated 1 GHz DSPs from Texas Instruments which deliver 8.000 MIPS. Depending on the type, they offer a maximum resolution of 2 megapixels. The intelligent line scan camera VC4002L, which is equipped with a 400 MHz (3.200 MIPS) processor, is also on display. The device supports three integra-tion modes: the free-running mode enables a scan rate of 11 kHz. With a constant integration time, the camera can be triggered externally at a maximum scan rate of 5,5 kHz. A third mode allows for a variable integration time which is determined by external triggering, reaching a maximum scan rate of 11 kHz. Additionally, Vision Components® will present an OEM version of a stereo sensor for three-dimensional image capturing. The trade fair presentation also includes a foosball contest. Visitors who score against the camera-controlled goalkeeper will win a surprise prize.
