Sales rise for Vision Components |
|
Vision Components® has concluded its fiscal year 2005 with gross sales of 5,1 million Euros, which constitutes a 12% gain over 2004. At the same time, earnings before tax rose by 38%. This increase in sales is mainly due to the development of new markets and sales regions.
The company, which was founded in 1996 by Smart Camera pioneer Michael Engel, now has a worldwide distribution network with company-owned subsidiaries in the US, the United Kingdom and France. "We plan to continue our expansion", Michael Engel says. "For 2006, we aim at increasing our gross sales to 6,2 million Euros." In 2005, Vision Components® introduced 14 new, powerful intelligent cameras, including the fastest Smart Camera VC4466 which features a 1 GHz DSP. Like all other cameras from Vision Components®, they are suitable for industrial envi-ronments. Typical fields of application include quality and completeness checks, barcode and OCR identification as well as biometric access control and bio-medical applications.
