Vision Components® is offering intelligent cameras nearly for a decade. Highly qualified staff is continually developing the underlying technology.
The VC40xx Series is the latest development of the high end product line in robust industrial housing from Vision Components®. Proven technical details, such as VGA-Monitor output, Fast Trigger Input/Output and 4 digital in and output are still supported in the new camera model. In contrast to the VC20xx Series, where a camera was available either with serial or Ethernet interface, the VC40xx series supports both interfaces at the same time in the camera.
The cameras use the most powerful C64 DSP family from Texas Instruments with computational power as high as 3200 MIPS. The 128 MByte SD card provides additional storage, and it can be accessed much faster than the 16 MByte MMC card available in the VC20xx Series. With the available 4 MByte Flash EPROM and 32 MByte RAM in the new series, both storage areas are doubled compared with the previous VC20xx Series. The VC40xx Series intelligent camera from Vision Components® makes possible to implement even the most requiring applications.

As of August 2005 the following models of the VC40xx Series are available:

- VC4038: 640x 480 pixels 63 full frames per second
- VC4065: 782x 582 pixels 55 full frames per second
- VC4066: 1024x 768 pixels 30 full frames per second

Additional models of the VC40xx Series will follow during the year to match the variety of the VC20xx Series, but with the significantly more powerful processor.
VC already announced a board level camera with the 3200 MIPS DSP processor. The VCSBC4018 features a 640x480 resolution with 32 images per second. The complete camera with the image processing fits on a small size 60x80 mm board.
The real-time ready, network ready Smart cameras from Vision Components® are applied for the widest range of use in mechanical engineering, quality assurance and security. Among the standard application fields we can list the following 2d matrix code, biometrical access control, quality control, absence presence check, completeness check, measuring, sorting and so on.

Die neue Smart Kamera Generation ab sofort erhältlich!

Seit fast zehn Jahren bietet Vision Components® intelligente Kameras aus einem Guss. Durchgängige Technik, die von hoch qualifizierten Mitarbeitern kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt wird.
Die VC40xx Serie ist der jüngste Sproß der High-End-Produktreihe von Vision Components® im robusten Industriegehäuse. Geblieben sind erprobte technische Details wie VGA-Monitorausgang, Fast Trigger-Ein-/Ausgang und 4 digitale Ein- und Ausgänge.
Im Gegensatz zu der bestehenden VC20xx Serie, die wahlweise mit serieller oder Ethernet-Schnittstelle erhältlich ist, besitzen die Neuen gleich beide Ports. Die Kameras arbeiten mit den rechenstärksten Digitalen Signalprozessoren der C64-Familie von Texas Instruments (3200 MIPS!). Eine 128 MB SD Speicherkarte sorgt für zusätzlichen Speicherplatz und lässt sich wesentlich schneller beschreiben und auslesen als die bisher eingesetzte 16MB MMC Karte der VC20xx Serie. Durch 4 MB Flash EPROM und 32 MB RAM verdoppeln sich die Flash- und Arbeitsspeicher gegenüber dem Vorgängermodell.
Mit der VC40xx Serie intelligenter Kameras von Vision Components® lassen sich selbst anspruchsvollste Anwendungen realisieren.
Ab August 2005 sind folgende Kameratypen dieser Serie erhältlich:

- VC4038 mit einer Auflösung von 640x480 bei 63 Vollbildern pro Sekunde
- VC4065 mit einer Auflösung von 782x582 bei 55 Vollbildern pro Sekunde
- VC4066 mit einer Auflösung von 1024x768 bei 30 Vollbildern pro Sekunde

Weitere Modelle der VC40XX Serie werden dieses Jahr noch folgen, um so die Variantenvielfalt der VC20XX Serie auch mit dem neuen, deutlich rechenstärkeren Prozessor anbieten zu können.

VC bietet bereits eine Platinenkamera mit dem Hochleistungsprozessor an, die VCSBC4018 mit einer Auflösung von 640x480 bei 32 Vollbildern pro Sekunde. Auf einer 60x80mm kleinen Platine findet die komplette Kamera inklusive Auswertungsintelligenz Platz.
Mit der Single Board Kamera VCSBC4018 und den Kameras im robusten Standardgehäuse aus der neuen VC40XX-Serie lassen sich selbst anspruchsvollste Anwendungen realisieren. So werden die standardisierten, echtzeitfähigen und netzwerkfähigen Smart Kameras von Vision Components® für die unterschiedlichsten Einsatzzwecke in Maschinenbau, Qualitätssicherung oder Sicherheitstechnik eingesetzt. Zu den klassischen Einsatzgebieten zählen Qualitäts- und Vollständigkeitskontrolle, sortieren und lagerichtiges Zuführen, Messtechnik, Lesen von 2D Matrix-Codes sowie biometrische Zutrittskontrollen.
