Vision Components is celebrating its 30th company anniversary at Vision trade fair, inviting all trade show visitors to join the celebration. The party, featuring live music and a buffet, will take place on Wednesday, October 7, starting at 5 p.m., in the Food Court of Hall 8 (Messe Stuttgart). Guests can look forward to a journey through time, from the earliest vision systems, through key milestones in embedded integration, to the latest developments, presented as an interactive, hands-on exhibition.

In 1996, Vision Components introduced the VC 11, the first industrial-grade smart camera, developed by company founder Michael Engel. It was the first camera system to combine image capture and image processing in a single, compact, series-ready unit, and remains a milestone in the development of smart cameras to this day. Since then, numerous further innovations have come out of Ettlingen, from board-level cameras and 3D laser triangulation sensors with onboard data processing to the launch of the VC MIPI Camera Modules in 2018.
This year at Vision, VC is showcasing the edge AI camera VC EvoCam and, for the first time, VC MIPI Blueline, a new series of camera modules with mainline Linux support, making vision integration faster, easier, and more cost-effective.
